Air

It is easier and less expensive to get to Princeton from Newark Airport than from Philadelphia International, although lower airfares may be available to Philadelphia.  NJ Transit trains go directly from Newark airport to Princeton Junction or Princeton (see below).  To take public transportation from Philadelphia you must take SEPTA trains to NJ Transit.  Car fares are lower from Newark than Philadelphia.

Rail

    • Amtrak: http://www.amtrak.com/. Trenton is the nearest station unless you are coming from the Boston area, in which case Metro Park is closer.  From either Trenton or Metro Park  you can transfer to NJ Transit. (See below.)
    • NJ Transit: https://www.njtransit.com/ The Northeast Corridor line (from NYC-Penn Station or Trenton) has stops at Princeton Junction and Princeton.
    • At Princeton Junction there are usually waiting at the station or you may call a ride service, such as Uber or Lyft.
    • If you are staying at the Hyatt Regency, call the hotel in advance or when you arrive and they will schedule their shuttle to pick you up.
    • If you purchase a ticket to Princeton, it includes a transfer at Princeton Junction to “The Dinky” shuttle which stops at Princeton’s campus. From there you may take a shuttle bus, a taxi, or walk to your destination.

Bus

There is bus service to Nassau Street in downtown Princeton.  The #100 Coach Suburban Transit leaves from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC. See https://www.coachusa.com/
